Seymour Johnson AFB, NC

The Seymour Johnson Housing Community is located just inside the Berkeley Gate entrance of Seymour Johnson AFB, home of the 4th Fighter Wing and the 916th Refueling Wing. This ultimate gated housing community consists of 686 brick and vinyl siding duplex and single family homes. Since 2013, multiple playgrounds, an adult challenge course, walking trails, a Bark Park as well as a 10,910-square-foot Community Center were added. Additionally, a 1,568-square-foot youth center was built, to ensure the Boy and Girl Scouts of America always had a place of their own. The 4th Fighter Wing earned the motto, “Fourth but First” and remains a leader in our nation’s Air Expeditionary Force. The Seymour Johnson Housing Community is proud to house the force that protects this nation.

BAH Calculator

How Does BAH as Rent Work?

Calculate your BAH: https://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/site/bahCalc.cfm

Using your Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) for rent is easy. Initially, Airmen will submit an AF Form 594 to the base finance office to initiate the BAH entitlement. Next, sign a Resident Occupancy Agreement (ROA) to give permission to allot your BAH entitlements to rent. After your information is processed, your BAH will be collected by a management company on behalf of the Air Force and paid to Mayroad on the first of each month. Your family's take-home pay won't change at all — you will simply see a "rent allotment" in the third column of your Leave and Earnings Statement (LES). Rent is paid in arrears, which means the allotment that is paid on the first of the month is for the previous month's rent.
